/tool fetch url="https://update.honkip.com/update?key=YOUR_UPDATE_KEY" output=userIt should print good or nochg followed by your address.
- Make it run every 5 minutes, and after every restart:
/system scheduler add name=honkip interval=5m start-time=startup on-event="/tool fetch url=\"https://update.honkip.com/update?key=YOUR_UPDATE_KEY\" keep-result=no"
- See that it runs: /system scheduler print where name=honkip. The run-count goes up every 5 minutes.
To remove it later: /system scheduler remove honkip
Check it worked
- Save the settings, then look at the Dynamic DNS page again. Most routers show a status like Connected, Success or Updated, sometimes with your address next to it.
- Once you have an account, Last check-in on My home shows when it last worked.
- Look your name up from any computer: nslookup yourname.honkip.com. The address it shows should be your home's address.
